CEIBA: In the distant future, a fundamental principle governs society: the preservation of human lives takes precedence over venturing into the depths of space. This ethos is evident on an inhospitable alien planet beneath the expansive canopy of the “Ailanthus” space garden, where a community of artificial beings known as Artifites resides.
Among the Artifites is Ein, a youthful explorer plagued by an indistinct yearning. Unaware of when the expedition commenced and puzzled by its prolonged pursuit of an elusive objective, Ein is certain of one thing—since their predicament has them confined, he must seek companionship, particularly with a specific girl in mind.
Navigating frequent encounters in the wardroom and shared lunches with the crew appears straightforward. However, three complications arise. Firstly, the girl possesses a demeanor as chilly and unwelcoming as cosmic ice. Secondly, her passion lies in investigating abandoned alien ruins concealed beneath the planet’s cloud cover. Thirdly, these desolate ruins have started to react to her presence.
